Experiential Learning

6 Simple Steps to Wellness
Wellness is not just in our genes. It is determined by the lifestyle choices we make every day. This workshop by Dr. Rifkin shows participants how to experience more energy, feel better, look better, lower stress, prevent disease and be more effective at work or in anything they choose to do through following just 6 lifestyle steps to wellness. Topics covered include: water, stress management, digestion/detoxification, diet, supplementation, and posture/exercise. The workshop lasts one hour and includes handouts, slides and group participation doing a postural evaluation. Time is allotted for questions and answers.

Pressure Point Therapy
A pressure point is an area of nerve interference located in the body that can lead to pain and illness. In this workshop, Dr. Rifkin discusses pressure point theory and how to locate and relieve active pressure points. By the conclusion of this seminar, participants will be able to locate and treat pressure points associated with common conditions such as headaches, neck pain, back pain, low energy, carpal tunnel syndrome, PMS, and sinus problems. This talk includes handouts, a slide show and group participation doing pressure point therapy. Time is given for questions and answers.

Acupressure Therapy
In this seminar, Dr. Rifkin shows why acupressure can be effective for treating as many as 2,000 different health problems. Participants learn acupressure treatments to enhance vitality and reduce or eliminate headaches, neck pain and back pain. This session includes handouts, slides and group participation using acupressure therapy. Time is allotted for questions and answers.

Back and Neck Pain
60-80% of American adults suffer from periodic lower back pain. Lower back pain is the #2 reason that people miss work. Studies have shown that drug treatments and surgery are ineffective for treating this disabling condition. Neck pain is usually non-specific. It is usually caused by a combination of physical health, mental health, work and daily activities. During any 6 month period 54% of adults suffer with neck pain and 4.6% have pain severe enough to greatly limit activity. 30-50% of adults and 21-42% of children have neck symptoms that remain 1 year from the original occurrence. 40% of neck pain sufferers have chronic persistent pain. The purpose of this seminar is to provide information on how to prevent and correct lower back and neck pain.
